Alma renews its two Michelin stars
December 2020

It’s one more confirmation of Alma’s excellence: the restaurant lead by chef Henrique Sá Pessoa was awarded with two Michelin stars for the third year in a row!

For Henrique Sá Pessoa, “this was a really atypical year; one that has demanded so much from both Plateform and all Alma’s team. Despite all the constraints, we have tried hard not to lower our guard and to carry on delivering the best possible experience to all our diners. We have managed to maintain the high standards we are known for, offering unparalleled meals that are truly worthy of our two Michelin stars”.

A feeling shared by Rui Sanches, Plateform CEO: “I’m very proud with Alma’s renovation of its two Michelin stars. 2020 was a very challenging year but this team proved, once again, that nothing is impossible. With hard work, resilience and a lot of dedication, we made it!”

In their assessment, the inspectors state that Alma is the ideal place for those who want to get to know “current Portuguese cuisine” allowing a culinary journey with traditional, Mediterranean and international touches and a technique that enhances the flavours and the best quality produces”. For the Guide’s standards, the two stars reflect the “exceptional cooking that is worth a detour”.

The renovation of the second star is only one more reason to come back to Alma. To do so, make your reservation on the website, by phone (+351) 213 470 650 or by email [email protected].
